Officials at the Ivyland, Pa.-based company say that the Tamper-Clear Syringe Seal provides a tamper-evident seal with clear visibility of syringe graduations. They say that it is easily applied over the syringe cap and maintains the integrity of the medication and packaging--even when refrigerated. Once removed, the seal cannot be reapplied and removing the syringe cap destroys the seal.
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Two rural communities in Iowa will now have Hy-Vee pharmacy services. The retailer purchased two telepharmacies — one in Victor and another in Liberty — that will continue to operate under its name. The locations opened Nov. 6.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is partnering with Appriss Health to bolster the state’s prescription drug monitoring program, the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System, or OARRS. The reporting system will now offer access to Appriss Health’s NarxCare analytics and patient support platform to pharmacists and prescribers within their clinical workflow and through OARRS.
DANBURY, Conn., and RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Analytics company QuintilesIMS has a new name. Effective Nov. 6, the company will do business as IQVIA, with its name ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange set to switch to IQV on Nov. 15. The name change comes almost a year and a half after Quintiles merged with IMS Health in a $9 billion deal.

With over 300 systems installed across North America, the company has figured out a way to make the latest addition to their offerings — the SynMed Ultra — work with 35 different types of packaging and produce more than 100 multi-dose blister cards per hour.
