Three national pharmacy organizations are urging state governors to include community pharmacists in administering a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available.
The National Association of Chain Drug Stores, the American Pharmacists Association, and the National Community Pharmacists Association praised the Department of Health and Human Services for taking action to increase pharmacists’ role in providing childhood vaccinations.
The chain is encouraging all age groups to get flu shots as soon as possible to bolster their immune systems and minimize the number of flu hospitalizations this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
