Betterbrand launches supplement line at retail

Maker of need-specific supplements Betterbrand is making its foray into brick-and-mortar retail. The company, based in Laguna Beach, Calif., and San Antonio, is beginning its migration to retail with distribution at select locations of health-focused retailer Earthbar, with plans to be chainwide in the fall.

Founded in 2019, Betterbrand is focused on offering doctor- and pharmacist-formulated respiratory and immune health nutraceuticals, as well as products meant to address mental acuity/focus and overindulgence with offerings that include BetterFocus, BetterSleep, BetterLungs and BetterMorning.

“Ordinary need-state pointed supplements weren't cutting it, so we made them better,” said Chris Jackson, Betterbrand co-founder and CEO, who has a doctor of pharmacy degree. “Our products offer rapid onset with enhanced bioavailability that renders our products to be consistent and repeatable in terms of delivering the desired and expected results to the consumer. For these reasons, we view Earthbar as the perfect launch-partner for our migration into traditional retail.”

Betterbrand said it also emphasizes transparency in its formulations and operations through a partnership with HealthLoq, offering full operational exposure to consumers — including the growing and harvesting of raw materials, and the extraction and manufacturing processes — with scannable on-packaging QR codes. Its products also are tested by Eurofins Scientific and its certificates of analysis are available on its website.

Betterbrand said corporate citizenship also is central to its mission. The company donates 1% of annual sales to support environmentally focused nonprofits and their bottles are fully recyclable. It also has eliminated the use of all secondary and external packaging.
