3/1/2010

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. The Little Clinic, which currently manages clinics in 11 states, has announced the launch of its 2010 Free Screenings and Health Education Program.

The program will be available at all locations of The Little Clinic inside select Kroger and Publix Super Markets.

"We continue to be aware of the role we play in increasing access to quality, convenient healthcare for consumers during a time when people are becoming more mindful of the benefits of preventative medicine," stated Lisa Loscalzo, president of The Little Clinic. "The Little Clinic is excited to continue offering free screenings and health information to the communities we serve because awareness is the first step towards preventing disease."

In 2009, the clinic operator provided more than $1 million worth of free health screenings to more than 111,000 customers.

Throughout March, which is National Nutrition Month, providers in all clinics will administer the screenings and provide consultation to consumers at no charge with the health focus being on digestive health.

Dannon Activia is the exclusive sponsor of the screening program in March and is offering a buy one, get one free coupon for a Dannon Activia yogurt four-pack for each screening customer, while supplies last.
