Walgreens Find Care adds LabCorp’s COVID-19 test
Walgreens’ latest effort on its Walgreens Find Care platform is aimed at making it easy for people to access COVID-19 testing. The company, in partnership with LabCorp, is offering the Pixel by Labcorp At Home COVID-19 collection Kit via Walgreens Find Care.
The platform now allows users to connect to the Pixel by Labcorp website to request a test after completing an eligibility survey. The kit is sent via FedEx Express overnight to the customer’s home, where they can collect a sample themselves using a nasal swab and then send the test back to Labcorp. Results are then available on the Pixel by LabCorp site, and if a test result is positive, a healthcare staff member contacts the individual to discuss next steps.
“LabCorp and Walgreens share a common goal of helping customers find easy and safe ways to get COVID-19 test results and make informed health decisions,” said Amy Summy, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Labcorp. “We’re excited to expand our collaboration and make our popular and easy-to-use Pixel by Labcorp COVID-19 At-Home Collection Kit available to even more customers.”
Walgreens Find Care is designed to help patients manage their healthcare from their home, including access to in-person and virtual doctor visits, scheduling diagnostic tests with Labcorp and booking appointments for various needs. Currently, Walgreens Find care offers access to more than 40 providers that collectively offer more than 60 services and can treat more than 100 conditions, Walgreens said.
