Tim Wentworth shares vision on first day as CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance

Like anyone starting a new job, Tim Wentworth, who assumed the role of CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance on Oct. 23, is very excited about his new role. 

He expressed his excitement on his LinkedIn post, in which he said:

Like any other firsts, my first day as CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance is filled with excitement and eagerness. However, the resounding emotion I feel today is that of hope and determination to continue advancing the industry I love: healthcare.

This opportunity presents chances unlike any other: a chance to evolve the value that can be created from a broad-reaching store network and retail experience that is personal to so many people around the world; a chance to reimagine healthcare at a local level; a chance to drive a collaborative and customer-focused approach deep into our company’s culture; a chance to help partners and payers deliver value they would not be able to provide without us.

I’ve been a part of WBA as an investor, partner and, most importantly, a customer, and I’ve long admired the care of Walgreens pharmacists.
