Take Care Health Systems praises declaration of NCCCW

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. Take Care Health Systems has praised the designation of National Convenient Care Clinic Week by Sens. Dan Inouye, D-Hawaii, and Thad Cochran, R-Miss.

National Convenient Care Clinic Week plays out against the backdrop of the third annual Retail Clinician Education Congress, co-hosted by The Drug Store News Group/Retail Clinician magazine and the Convenient Care Association.

“The resolution recognizes the role convenient care clinics, such as Take Care Clinics, can play in providing accessible and cost-effective healthcare options to complement the traditional healthcare model,” Take Care Health Systems said Monday. “It acknowledges the opportunity that exists given the worsening primary care provider shortage the country is faced with, highlighting the quality of care that is received at the clinics. It calls on the Senate to support the establishment of clinics so that more people will have “access to the cost-effective and necessary emergent and preventative services provided in the clinics.”

Take Care Clinics are professional walk-in healthcare centers located in more than 350 Walgreens drug stores across the country. Clinics are open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends, giving patients the option to access a variety of health care services, including screenings and vaccinations, at their convenience. No appointment is necessary.
