Novo Nordisk to begin supplying safety insulin needle to retail pharmacies

PRINCETON, N.J. Novo Nordisk is extending the availability of its safety insulin needle, NovoFine Autocover 30G from hospitals to retail pharmacies.

The needle has a plastic shield that helps reduce needle anxiety in patients and reduces the risk of accidental needle stick injuries by keeping the needle hidden before, during and after use and by using a red safety indicator that provides confirmation that the needle is locked.

It is designed and recommended for use with Novo Nordisk insulin delivery devices.
