    Kit Kat launches blueberry muffin bar

    There’s a new Kit Kat bar in town.

    The latest from the Hershey, Pa.-based company is the limited-edition blueberry muffin bar, which features a cake batter-like muffin flavor, graham cookie pieces folded in and a blueberry muffin-flavored crème around its crispy wafers.

    “Our product creators have such passion for deciding which flavor Kit Kat should take on next and making sure it delivers for our fans,” said Dan Williard, brand manager of Kit Kat. “Kit Kat blueberry muffin has already become one of our favorites; it has all the taste of a freshly baked blueberry muffin, but no baking required!”

    Kit Kat’s limited-edition blueberry bar is available in a standard bar, king bar and snack-size at retailers nationwide while supplies last.

    Reese’s intros pantry-sized packs

    Reaching for a pack of Reese’s is now easier than ever.

    New from the Hershey, Pa.-based company are the pantry packs, which are a stackable, portable and organizable convenient package that is stocked with 25 individually wrapped snack-sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

    “Stack it, pack it, freeze it, organize it — now our fans can create their very own Reese’s corner of the pantry, fridge, freezer, desk — you name it,” said Bo Jones, Reese’s brand team member. “The new Reese’s pantry pack allows anyone to stash their beloved chocolate and peanut butter (neatly) anywhere they want, making it perfect to grab anytime they want.”

    Reese’s pantry pack is now available for purchase nationwide with pricing at the sole discretion of the retailer.

    Dr. Reddy’s launches generic Solu-Medrol

    The medication is the generic of Pharmacia & Upjohn’s Solu-Medrol, which is used to treat several conditions, including arthritis, blood disorders and severe allergic reactions.

    Retailers, pharmacy and consumer health companies make Time’s ‘100 Most Influential’ list

    Several notable retailers, pharma manufacturers and consumer healthcare companies have earned a spot on Time’s inaugural "100 Most Influential Companies" list.

    The new list is an expansion of its iconic Time100 franchise that highlights businesses making an extraordinary impact around the world. To assemble it, Time solicited nominations across sectors including health care, entertainment, transportation, technology and more from its global network of editors and correspondents.

    Among the retailers making the grade in the list's Leaders category were Walgreens for vaccinating the vulnerable and CVS for administering vaccines.

    Pharma firms that appeared in the Leaders category were Pfizer and BioNTech for immunizing the world and Johnson & Johnson for delivering a one-dose vaccine.

    Moderna placed in the Innovators category for making a new kind of vaccine.

    In the Titans category, Walmart was recognized for keeping America fed, clothed and vaccinated; Unilever was mentioned for parting with plastics; Amazon was credited for dominating e-tail; and Proctor & Gamble was noticed for cleaning up at home.

    Elite, Praxgen gain FDA OK for generic doxycycline

    Elite, a specialty pharmaceutical company developing niche generic products, and its co-development partner Praxgen have obtained the Food and Drug Administration’s clearance for doxycycline hyclate 100-mg tablets.

    Doxycycline Hyclate is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.

    Aurobindo receives FDA nod for generic Zovirax

    Aurobindo has received the Food and Drug Administration’s blessing for acyclovir oral suspension, 200 mg/5 mL.

    The medication is the generic of Mylan’s Zovirax.

    It is indicated for acute treatment of herpes zoster (shingles), treatment of initial episodes and the management of recurrent episodes of genital herpes and treatment of chickenpox (varicella).

    Acyclovir oral suspension has a market value of roughly $10.4 million for the 12 months ending February 2022, according to IQVIA.
