HRG’s five notable products from September
Product introductions saw a modest increase in September, after dropping significantly in August compared to July. For the month of September, suppliers introduced 100 new products, which is six more items than the 94 they released in the previous month.
Waukesha, Wis.-based HRG reviewed 34 products in the health category, 44 items in the wellness sector and 22 items in the beauty aisle to see which ones stood out as Products to Watch. Here is what they found:
1. Abreva Cold Sore Rapid Pain Relief Lip Protectant
Formulated with 4% lidocaine and 20% glycerin, Abreva Cold Sore Rapid Pain Relief from Haleon offers a powerful-strength analgesic to numb nerves and cooling menthol to relieve burning and discomfort. Glycerin was added to the formulation to moisturize skin to prevent cracking. It comes in a .10-oz tube.
2. NeilMed Smell Restore Smell Training Kit
NeilMed Pharmaceuticals said its all-natural Smell Restore Smell Kit restores the sense of smell due to viral infections, chronic nasal and sinus diseases, and/or surgeries, facial trauma, aging or certain drug therapies. The kit includes four essential oil inhalers in eucalyptus, lemon, rose and clove to assist in the process of olfactory training. One unit comes in a kit.
3. Certain Dri Women’s Body Powder
Bridges Consumer Healthcare’s Certain Dri Women’s Body Powder features a triple action formula in a light and fresh scent, the brand said. The powder is created to absorb sweat at the source, stop odor-causing bacteria and remove friction in areas prone to chafing. It comes in an 8-oz. bottle.
4. Voltaren Joint Comfort & Movement Capsules
Haleon said it has expanded its Voltaren from topical pain relief to launch a line of joint supplements. The Voltaren Joint Comfort & Movement dietary supplement is formulated to promote mobility and flexibility for comfortable movement when taken daily. It’s designed to be easy to swallow and is made with boswellia and turmeric components. The product comes in a 30-ct. bottle.
5. Magnilife DB Nerve Relief Roll-On
Magnilife developed DB Nerve Relief Roll-On to minimize stabbing, tingling and nighttime pain due to reduced circulation. The product reduces nerve pain that can occur in feet, legs, hands and arms of patients with diabetes. Clear with a vanishing scent, the product is meant to increase blood flow. It leaves no residue on the skin, the brand said. It comes in a 3-oz. tube.
