Family Dollar

Apollo Global Management, Sycamore Partners and Brigade Capital Management are reportedly interested in acquiring Family Dollar.

Creedon is responsible for leading more than 200,000 associates and more than 16,000 stores across the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners.

In reporting Dollar Tree third quarter results, the company announced that Jeff Davis will step down as chief financial officer.

The retailers are committed to ending childhood hunger and poverty.

The appointments follow the resignation of Rick Dreiling as chairman and CEO as of Nov. 3.

The new platform enables Family Dollar to optimize the assortment process across its network of stores, per the retailer.

Sales for Dollar Tree’s second quarter, which ended Aug. 3, came in toward the low end of its outlook range.

Dollar Tree plans on closing approximately 600 Family Dollar stores in the first half of fiscal 2024, with more to close over the next several years.
