Reddi-wip brings the coffeehouse experience home

Reddi-wip wants to bring the coffeehouse experience directly into consumers’ homes.

The Chicago-based brand, which is part of the Conagra family, announced the launch of its new Barista Series line of cream-based products.

"Given the continued strength of coffee sales and the fact that many consumers already use our regular Reddi-wip in their coffee, we saw an exciting opportunity to bring a cream-based innovation to market that would better replicate popular coffee drinks and the coffeehouse experience but in the convenience of home or work," Ryan Clark, the president of the refrigerated and frozen division at Conagra Brands, said.

Available in two varieties — Nitro Creamer and Sweet Foam — both products aim to give the coffeehouse experience any time of day without the lines or price, the company said.

Nitro Creamer can be used in place of traditional coffee creamer, in either cold or hot beverages, and in non-coffee drinks. Consumers can expect a hint of sweetness and cream as it infuses coffee with a velvety texture.

On the other hand, Reddi-wip’s Sweet Foam can be used alongside the Nitro Creamer, or with other traditional coffee creamers. The product adds a sweet finish to drinks but has the foam settle on the top as opposed to being dispersed throughout the beverage.

Both the Nitro Creamer and Sweet Foam are gluten-free, contain real sugar, do not have artificial sweeteners, flavors or preservatives, and made with only six ingredients, the company said.

Shoppers can find both of the new launches at retailers nationwide in the coming months and retails for $3.99 each.
