Oberto expands Pacific Gold Reserve line

Oberto is adding several new flavors to its Pacific Gold Reserve collection.

The line, which contains gourmet craft meat snacks, unveiled the latest additions to the line — Jerky Trail Mix, Smoked Sausage Sticks and Cracked Peppercorn Turkey Jerky.

“Pacific Gold Reserve is a high-quality craft meat snacks brand made with the millennial foodie in mind. We believe the new craft jerky will further resonate with Millennials who are seeking more sophisticated and adventurous delicious snacking options packed with high protein,” Tom Hernquist, CEO of Oberto Snacks said. “We are excited for these artfully crafted innovations to attract even more new consumers to our growing category.”

The Jerky Trail Mix contains grass fed turkey, a blend of fruits, nuts, seeds and fair trade certified dark chocolate, and comes in cracked peppercorn turkey jerky with dark chocolate and espresso beans, bourbon glazed beef jerky with cherries and walnuts, and Korean BBQ recipe pork jerky with mango and papaya.

The smoked sausage sticks come in sweet Italian, original smoked recipe and spicy chorizo varieties.

All of the new products do not have any artificial ingredients, preservatives, MSG, nitrates/nitrites or corn syrup, the company said.

3 Musketeers gets the birthday cake treatment

Fans of 3 Musketeers should prepare to have their taste buds explode.

The Hackettstown, N.J.-based company, which is part of the Mars portfolio, announced the brand’s first new flavor in six years — birthday cake.

Containing vanilla-flavored nougat and colorful sprinkles that are covered in milk chocolate, the flavor will be rolling out to retailers in the next couple of months.

“The birthday cake flavor is a growing trend and one that we knew would be a perfect center to the iconic 3 Musketeers bar,” Rosemary Nocito, the brand manager for 3 Musketeers said. “Our mission is to spread small moments of joy with our fans and this latest flavor brings that celebratory feeling to the everyday.”

3 Musketeers birthday cake flavor will be available in 2.14-oz. share size bar and 8.4-oz. miniatures stand-up pouch that contains 28 approximately 28 pieces.

The flavor is now available for purchase at Walmart and will roll out nationally in January 2019.

Mooala intros strawberry bananamilk

Mooala fans will soon have a new flavor they can sample.

The Dallas-based company, which produces dairy-free beverages, announced the launch of its new strawberry bananamilk.

“People from all walks of life are embracing a plant-powered lifestyle, and we’re also observing that traditional dairy drinkers’ diets are shifting to incorporate more plant-based alternatives,” Mooala founder and CEO Jeff Richards said. “Our latest innovation — Mooala strawberry bananamilk — features a blissfully sweet flavor profile that fuses real organic strawberries and bananas to give today’s shoppers a delicious, but guilt-free, smoothie base or stand-alone treat packed with nutrition for growing families.”

Crafted from fruits and roasted sunflower seeds, Mooala’s strawberry bananamilk is USDA-certified organic and does not contain any added sugar or preservatives. The beverage also only has 70 calories per serving and is gluten-free, kosher and carrageenan-free, the company said.

Mooala’s strawberry bananamilk will hit the refrigerated aisle at Whole Foods and Albertsons-Safeway stores throughout October before expanding to additional retailers in late 2018 and early 2019.
