Green Giant adds variety to Veggie Bowl offerings
Green Giant is adding options to line of Veggie Bowls.
The brand is introducing consumers to two brand new regionally inspired flavors to the collection — Southwest Tortilla and Korean BBQ.
In addition, both of the new launches are to be showcased from June 11 to 12 at the United Fresh Convention & Expo in Chicago, the Salinas, Calif.-based company said.
“Providing convenient, fresh, and flavorful options for consumers is at the heart of what we deliver at Green Giant Fresh,” Jamie Strachan, the chief executive officer of Green Giant Fresh said. “We are constantly exploring ways to delight consumers with ways to incorporate vegetables into one’s day. The Veggie Bowl concept is about providing a healthier take on traditionally calorie-heavy regional cuisine, and we are proud of the way we’ve brought to life these satisfying flavors for a smarter grab-and-go meal experience.”
Featured flavors in the Korean BBQ option include cauliflower crumbles chopped cauliflower, carrots, celery, onions, broccoli, crispy rice noodles and a Bulgogi sauce to drizzle on the top.
On the other hand, the Southwest Tortilla flavor contains cauliflower crumbles chopped cauliflower, carrots, onions, seasoned tortilla chips, sharp white cheddar and chipotle chili sauce.
All of Green Giant’s Fresh Veggie Bowls include ingredients that are low in fat and can be paired with such extra proteins as chicken, fish or tofu, the company said.
Consumers can find the products, as well as other offerings from the line, at grocery, natural food and mass merchandise retailers. For exact locations, the company encourages consumers to use the store locator on its website.
