Green Giant brings cauliflower pizza crust to shelves
October doesn’t just mark the beginning of Halloween celebrations, it also marks the beginning of National Pizza Month.
To celebrate such a momentous occasion, Green Giant announced its plan to roll out cauliflower pizza crusts, which join its Veggie Swap-Ins line.
Available in original and Tuscan styles, the crusts are made with 80% cauliflower and contain four servings per package, the company said.
“We’re constantly challenging ourselves to find new and convenient ways to add more vegetables to traditional American meals,” Jordan Greenberg, vice president and general manager of Green Giant, said. “Over the past few years, Green Giant’s frozen innovations have become highly sought-after by consumers because they are simple, delicious and easy to prepare. Green Giant Cauliflower Pizza Crusts are the natural next step in the evolution of our Veggie Swap-Ins line, and we’re thrilled to offer a delicious product that is packed with over 80% cauliflower.”
In addition, each Green Giant cauliflower pizza crust is vegan, made with simple ingredients and does not contain artificial flavors or colors. Each crust also is ready-to-bake with no prep work and minimal food waste, the company said.
The product can be found wherever Green Giant products are currently sold and will retail for $4.99 per package.
