October doesn’t just mark the beginning of Halloween celebrations, it also marks the beginning of National Pizza Month.

To celebrate such a momentous occasion, Green Giant announced its plan to roll out cauliflower pizza crusts, which join its Veggie Swap-Ins line.

Available in original and Tuscan styles, the crusts are made with 80% cauliflower and contain four servings per package, the company said.

“We’re constantly challenging ourselves to find new and convenient ways to add more vegetables to traditional American meals,” Jordan Greenberg, vice president and general manager of Green Giant, said. “Over the past few years, Green Giant’s frozen innovations have become highly sought-after by consumers because they are simple, delicious and easy to prepare. Green Giant Cauliflower Pizza Crusts are the natural next step in the evolution of our Veggie Swap-Ins line, and we’re thrilled to offer a delicious product that is packed with over 80% cauliflower.”

In addition, each Green Giant cauliflower pizza crust is vegan, made with simple ingredients and does not contain artificial flavors or colors. Each crust also is ready-to-bake with no prep work and minimal food waste, the company said.

The product can be found wherever Green Giant products are currently sold and will retail for $4.99 per package.

Harpoon Brewery, Dunkin’ unveil coffee, craft beer hybrid

BY DSN STAFF

Dunkin’ and Harpoon Brewery are joining forces to launch a new product that’s all about fall.

The Boston-based companies unveiled their new Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter, which combines the taste of Dunkin’s espresso blend coffee with craft beer.

Featuring robust and roasty notes, the malt-tasting beverage also contain an aroma of espresso and dark chocolate, the companies said.

“Our brands have such passionate, loyal fans, who start their busy day with a cup of Dunkin’ coffee and end it by enjoying one of Harpoon’s famous craft beers,” Tony Weisman, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’ U.S., said. “We’re thrilled to now finally bring the two together, partnering with one of the most respected craft breweries in the country to offer coffee lovers and beer enthusiasts alike a classic new taste to celebrate the season.”

Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter, which contains a 6% ABV, will be available throughout the fall in 12-oz. bottles and draft in select locations across the Eastern United States.

“Dunkin’ has been there for us since the early days when getting the brewery up and running required a lot of beer, and even more coffee,” Dan Kenary, CEO and co-founder of Harpoon Brewery, said. “We couldn’t think of a better way to pay tribute to the company that’s helped fuel our success than to create something special for our fans by combining the taste of their favorite morning brew with one of ours.”

Further information on the drink can be found on Harpoon Brewery’s website, where a store locator also is featured.
