Califia Farms launches amino acid blended oat milk

Califia Farms’ portfolio of plant-based beverage is expanding.

The Los Angeles-based company announced the launch of its new Übermilk collection, which is a line of oat milk beverages that have 8 g of plant-based protein per serving and include eight essential amino and fatty acids from plant oils.

"Übermilk is a leap into the next frontier," Greg Steltenpohl, the founder and CEO of Califia Farms said. "Nutritionally Übermilk is one of the more nutrient dense plant milks on the broader market with a powerful combination of both macro and micro nutrients, and most importantly it wins on taste and texture, thanks to our naturally creamy and great-tasting Oatmilk serving as the base."

Available in three varieties — unsweetened, unsweetened vanilla and chocolate — the oat milks combine eight grams of protein from pea, oats and sunflower seeds.

In addition, the line delivers significant quantities of omega 3, 6 and 9; calcium, vitamin D, potassium and vitamin E, the company said.

"Made from a blend of seeds and pulses, Übermilk removes any compromise for anyone seeking better nutrition from plants," Ashley Koff, RD and CEO of The Better Nutrition Program said. "I'm equally impressed with the nutrient density and taste."

Califia Farms’ Übermilk will hit Whole Foods Market shelves in the spring and expanding to additional retailers throughout the year.
