Applegate expands collection with new offerings

Applegate is adding to its wide range of products.

The Bridgewater, N.J.-based company announced the launch of several new products that include a burger, no-sugar breakfast sausages and a snackable variety.

Its new offerings and line extensions include:

  • Organics The Great Organic Blend Burger, which combines humanely raised organic meat with sustainable mushrooms, will be available in the Organic 100% Grass-Fed Beef and Organic Turkey varieties;
  • Snackables, which will feature pepperoni and cheddar varieties, will come in turkey, and pork and beef pepperoni options and contain medium cheddar cheese. A Genoa Charcuterie Plate features Genoa salami and pepper jack or medium cheese combined with sweet and savory morsels;
  • No-Sugar Breakfast Sausage is made with clean ingredients and does not contain antibiotics or nitrates. Available in original pork and chicken and herb varieties, the product also is Whole30 approved; and
  • The Food Collective by Applegate, which is a premium brand that utilizes pasture-raised meats and will feature fresh sausages with pork certified by the American Grassfed Association.

“The Great Organic Blend Burger is a win, win, win for conscious carnivores, people who crave meat, but also want to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diets. By blending meat with mushrooms, not only were we able to create a burger that is juicy and flavor packed, but also more nutritious, with fewer calories and less fat, than a regular beef burger,” John Ghingo, Applegate’s president, said. “It’s a game-changing innovation, and it’s one of many ways we’re continuing to meet consumers’ needs through unique and irresistible products.”
