Camber launches generic Valcyte
Generic Valcyte is a deoxynucleoside analogue cytomegalovirus DNA polymerase inhibitor indicated for several conditions in pediatric and adult patients.
Camber is introducing valganciclovir for oral solution, a generic of Valcyte.
The medication is a deoxynucleoside analogue cytomegalovirus DNA polymerase inhibitor indicated for:
- Adult patients: for the treatment of CMV retinitis in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome; and prevention of CMV disease in kidney, heart and kidney-pancreas transplant patients at high risk.
- Pediatric patients: for the prevention of CMV disease in kidney and heart transplant patients at high risk.

Valganciclovir for oral solution 50 mg/ml is available in 100 ml bottles.
