Sally Beauty is changing the way consumers approach an impending hair color change with a new digital consultation service.

The Licensed Colorist OnDemand consultation is a complimentary service that connects users with licensed colorists in real time to address their hair color questions. To launch the program, Sally Beauty leveraged insights from its previous in-store pilot, the company said.

“Hair color is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and consumers are looking for a personalized regimen based on their goals," said John Goss, president of Sally Beauty.  "We are proud to provide a service that meets them where they are, at no cost, to help them achieve the hair color of their dreams. Through services like Licensed Colorist OnDemand, we’re making hair color education more accessible and breaking down barriers so consumers can color with confidence guided by a licensed professional each step of the way.”

Licensed colorists who specialize in color theory are available for a free one-on-one virtual appointment that takes approximately 15 minutes, during which consumers can choose a video consultation or chat on the go.

All at-home hair color questions will be answered, and consumers will be given an understanding of what is needed to obtain their desired look through product recommendations, the company said.
