Provider status for pharmacists gains momentum among patients

ARLINGTON, Va. — Voters overwhelmingly support provider status for pharmacists, according to a 2015 Victory Vision poll released earlier this week by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. In fact, more voters support it this year (82%) than last year (79%). 

 

And the legislation enjoys support across parties, with 78% of Republicans, 86% of Democrats and 81% of Independents favoring provider status for pharmacists.

 

NACDS commissioned the survey, which was conducted by Public Opinion Strategies. The Internet survey was conducted in July 2015 among "opinion elites" - likely voters who are engaged and aware when it comes to current events. 

 

The announcement was first released this week to members of the NACDS RxIMPACT Pharmacy Advocates group on LinkedIn.
