CARLISLE, Pa. — Giant Food Stores of Carlisle, Pa., has opened four new pickup sites in Pennsylvania for online grocer and sister company Peapod, the supermarket chain said Tuesday.

Giant-Carlisle announced the launch of the Giant Pick Up service at stores in Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Montgomeryville and Willow Grove, replacing a previous service at the Willow Grove and Camp Hill stores called Shop from Home. Giant-Carlisle and Peapod are owned by Ahold USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Dutch supermarket operator Royal Ahold.

"Our customers are busier than ever, and we want to provide them with a better place to shop by giving them options to shop that are most convenient to their lifestyle," Ahold USA VP sales and merchandising Jeff Beaulieu said. "Giant Pick Up is a flexible and affordable alternative for customers to quickly pick up their groceries in the midst of other errands. We are excited to partner with Peapod to leverage their online grocery expertise in bringing Giant Pick Up to our customers."
