Thinx is rolling out a new selection of its reusable period underwear that features its new LeakSafe Barrier Technology.

Available across all of its lines—Thinx, Thinx Teens and Thinx For All—this new option features all-day absorbency that is designed to prevent leaks for up to 12 hours, the company said.

“Testing found that our new LeakSafe Barrier technology can stand up to heavy flows and is absorbent enough for the majority of users,” said Courtney Newman, senior director of product design at Thinx. “By blending aesthetics with function, we were able to minimize the thickness of the gusset layer while maximizing the width of the secure barrier to create an exceptional product that allows customers to get it all—comfort, style and protection.”

Containing a patent-pending four-layer gusset, the garment aims to offer comfort and protection, as well as odor technology and it comes in a breathable fabric that helps users feel fresh and dry throughout the day, the brand shared.

“During the development process, we challenged ourselves to explore various materials, designs, and manufacturing techniques to create the best experience for customers,” said Sara Plotkin, vice president of brand and creative at Thinx. “It is designed specifically with customers’ needs in mind, knowing they want protection that helps them feel confident throughout their entire day.”

Thinx’s LeakSafe Barrier Technology will be featured across its range of products, with availability beginning online, as well as at such retailers as Amazon, CVS, Target, Walgreens and Walmart.
