Wegmans opens Carlyle-Alexandria, Va. store
Wegmans has opened a new store in Virginia.
The 81,300-sq.-ft. store, located at 150 Stovall St. in Carlyle Crossings made its debut on May 11, marking the retailer’s 14th location in Virginia.

With this new Carlyle location, consumers can expect to find an abundant selection, with more than 4,000 organic options throughout the store. Restaurant foods prepared by executive chef Juan Flores and his culinary staff of 105 include everything from fresh sushi, pizza and wings to made-to-order salads and hot soup. The Burger Bar offers delicious burgers, sandwiches and fries, or customers can enjoy Asian-inspired cuisine featuring Chinese, Thai and Indian recipes available pre-packaged or from a self-serve bar. The Market Café seating area has space for nearly 250 and includes a bar serving wine, beer, cocktails and hand-rolled sushi, the company said.
Wegmans noted that the seafood department features fish delivered daily from ports on the east coast, across the country and around the world. The store also features a produce section with hundreds of different fruits and vegetables, including many organic choices, and a cheese shop that has specialty and artisan cheeses produced domestically or imported from around the world.

Customers can visit the location’s website to sign up for Wegmans Shoppers Club and download the Wegmans app, which offers recipes, digital coupons and the ability to create shopping lists sorted by aisle. Wegmans SCAN App allows customers to scan and bag their groceries as they shop for a quick and easy, contactless shopping experience or customers can complete all their grocery shopping online for curbside pickup or delivery to their door in as little as one hour.
Carlyle is Wegmans’ 107th store overall and the 14th location in Virginia. In addition to the Carlyle store, Wegmans is now hiring and training for their first location in Washington. Applicants may visit here for more information.
