Veggies Made Great brings Beyond Meat to its frittatas

10/5/2020

Veggies Made Great’s frittatas are adding a little extra plant-based protein to their roster.

How so? Via a new collaboration with Beyond Meat, which resulted in the creation of the Veggies Made Great Frittata line made with Beyond Meat collection.

Made from plant-based ingredients that are free of GMOs, as well as synthetic colors and flavors, Beyond Meat’s burgers, beef, sausage and crumbles, also looks to address such concerns as human health, climate change and animal welfare, the company said.

“This marks the first-ever Veggies Made Great partnership, a collaboration that brings together the future of protein: plant-based meat and veggie-packed, plant-forward products,” Elliot Huss, CEO of Veggies Made Great said. “The products we created featuring Beyond Meat make it easy for consumers and their families to find new and delicious ways to eat more veggies, consume more protein and help address some of the global health and climate issues we see today.”

The Veggies Made Great Frittatas made with Beyond Meat line is available in two options — Sausage and Pepper Frittata made using Beyond Beef Crumbles, and Sausage, Egg and Cheese Frittatas made using Beyond Beef Crumbles.

“Partnering with Veggies Made Great is another impactful way we can increase offerings for those looking to introduce plant-based protein into their diets,” Tim Smith, Beyond Meat’s vice president of North America Sales, foodservice said. “We’re delighted to work with a partner who shares our mission of creating delicious food that's better for people and the planet.”

Sold in a pack of six individually wrapped frittatas that retail for $5.99, the Veggies Made Great Frittatas made with Beyond Meat collection is available at such select retailers as Harris Teeter and Amazon.com.
