New this year, the retailer will increase its Target Circle offerings for college students and extend its popular Teacher Prep event.

School may have just let out for the summer, but Target is already announcing how it plans to help teachers and students save on their back-to-school essentials.

The Minneapolis-based retailer shared that the kickoff for its back-to-school and back-to-college season will feature an assortment of products to help guests save through an easy and convenient shopping experience.

“We know the back-to-school season signals an important milestone for millions of families across the country — and we're here to help by introducing even more ways for guests to save and find everything they need all in one convenient location,” said Jill Sando, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target. “From supplies and stylish apparel to snacks and the latest electronics, guests can count on Target to make the most of their budgets, with thousands of items under $10.”

With a majority of items under $10 and deals beginning under $1, items consumers will be able to save on include college supplies, apparel, snacks and more under the only-at-Target brands and national brands.

Target Circle’s college student discount will run from July 3 to Sept. 3. The extended Teacher Prep event, which will be available via the Target Circle loyalty program, will run from July 17 to Sept. 10, and all teachers including K-12; homeschool teachers; daycare centers and early childhood learning center educators; university and college professors; and vocational, trade and technical school teachers are eligible with valid identification.

In addition, Target stores in states with sales tax holiday events will not charge sales tax, and the retailer’s Deal Days, running from July 11 to 13, will also feature savings.
