WASHINGTON — Looking to shine a spotlight on pharmacists’ increasingly vital role in the delivery of healthcare services, hundreds of pharmacy advocates once again convened on Capitol Hill to participate in the 6th Annual NACDS RxImpact Day. This year’s event, held March 12 to 13, brought together more than 400 community pharmacists, pharmacy executives, pharmacy students and other pharmacy leaders from 40 states to educate elected leaders about issues facing pharmacy today. Meetings were conducted with more than 80% of the entire U.S. Congress including 136 of 139 members of Congress who serve on congressional committees with jurisdiction on healthcare issues.
