The Pharmacy Quality Alliance is doing some personnel shuffling alongside a new hire. The company has announced the addition of Patrick Campbell as director of measurement outcomes research. He is the newest member of PQA’s growing research team.

Campbell will lead studies to measure the impact of PQA’s opioid measures and new opioid prescribing policies, as well as the value of pharmacists in the delivery of patient-centered care. He recently completed his doctorate in pharmaceutical economics, policy and outcomes from the University of Arizona.

PQA also promoted the following four individuals on its performance measurement, research and operations teams:

• Lisa Hines, to vice president, performance measurement and operations.
• Matthew Pickering, to senior director, research and quality strategies.
• Melissa Nelson, to director, research and academic affairs.
• Laurel Glenn, to manager, contracts.

“The addition of Patrick to our team and the promotion of four medication quality experts on our team reflects PQA’s continued growth as a quality measure organization,” PQA CEO Laura Cranston said. “We have built the infrastructure to partner with organizations and agencies across the healthcare system to improve patient care and reduce overall healthcare spending through effective quality measurement.”
