10/29/2015

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced Thursday that Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly would give the keynote address at the NACDS Foundation dinner. The annual event, put on by the organization’s charity arm, is now in its 17th year and takes place Dec. 3 in New York City. Kelly is the host of “The Kelly File,” the second-most-watched cable news show on television.

“Not afraid to ask the tough questions, Megyn Kelly has spent her television career breaking news, cutting through the news clutter and delivering in-depth investigative reporting that resonates with millions of viewers nationwide,” NACDS Foundation president Kathleen Jaeger said. “From her coverage of national and political news to her interviews with newsmakers and national leaders, we look forward to hearing more about how those experiences have shaped her coverage of the news.”

Kelly has been with Fox News in some capacity since 2004 and in 2009 and 2010 co-anchored its coverage of Elena Kagan’s and Sonia Sotomayor’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings. In 2012 and 2014, she co-anchored Fox News’ election coverage. Before starting her career in journalism, Kelly was a corporate attorney.
