Walgreens integrates blood pressure app Qardio into Balance Rewards API
DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens last week announced the latest integration of its Balance Rewards API with Qardio. Qardio's clinically validated smart blood pressure monitor, QardioArm, is available in a variety of colors and works wirelessly with either an iOS or Android device.
The free Qardio App stores blood pressure readings, helps set measurement reminders, encourages users to keep their blood pressure in check and share progress with others.

M.D. Science Lab unveils all-new packaging for its Swiss Navy line of lubricants
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — M.D. Science Lab, manufacturers of Swiss Navy Premium Lubricants, on Thursday unveiled all-new packaging for their brand for mass-market storefronts. First sold inside CVS Health, Swiss Navy’s clarion boxes individually contain three of the collection’s formulas — Silicone, Water Base and Sensitive Skin. While these are available for immediate order, the company’s latest formula, Warming, will debut in the contemporary boxes during the first quarter of 2015.
“Since our inception, Swiss Navy has been a driving force in the personal lubricant category for mainstream retailers and specialty boutiques,” said Ralph Albrecht, president, M.D. Science Lab, “Swiss Navy has become one of the top-selling lubricant lines inside CVS Health. We’re looking to expand that growth even further headed into the new year.”

GSK shareholders approve Novartis deal
LONDON — The overwhelming majority of GlaxoSmithKline shareholders on Thursday approved the proposed transaction with Novartis.
If approved by the appropriate regulatory bodies, the transaction will create a new combined Consumer Healthcare business with 2013 pro forma revenues of $10.2 billion, move Novartis' global vaccines business (excluding influenza vaccines) to GSK for a consideration of $5.3 billion and see the divestiture of GSK's marketed oncology portfolio to Novartis for $16 billion.
As previously announced, the transaction is expected to complete during the first half of 2015, subject to approvals.
