Old El Paso enters chip aisle with Fiesta Twists

Old El Paso is expanding its well-known portfolio of Mexican meal solutions by entering the chip aisle with a brand-new snacking innovation — Fiesta Twists.

The light and airy corn twists come in Queso, Zesty Ranch and Cinnamon Churro flavors, and feature a twist shape that delivers crispy and crunchy textures with a flavor inspired by southwestern cuisine, the company said.

“Old El Paso fans trust us to help make taco night a breeze with our signature seasonings, meal kits, tortilla shells and other great products,” said Ryan Harrington, vice president of Walmart sales at General Mills. “We’re excited to expand our offerings and bring our consumers bold, new flavors to the snack aisle at Walmart.”

To celebrate the snack’s launch, Old El Paso is partnering with Olympic athlete Shaun White on a campaign that generates awareness for the product across social media.

“I grew up eating Old El Paso for taco night so it’s a dream come true to help them introduce the new Fiesta Twists,” White said. “Whether I’m twisting on the snowboard or skateboard, they’re the perfect snack to enjoy my favorite Tex-Mex flavors.”

Currently, Old El Paso’s Fiesta Twists are available for purchase exclusively at Walmart for a suggested retail price of $3.48.
