Purell Advanced named best hand sanitizer by TripAdvisor travelers

AKRON, Ohio — The travel site TripAdvisor on Wednesday announced the winners of its third annual Travelers' Choice awards for Travel Favorites, highlighting the top brands that travelers around the world prefer for their trips. Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer was selected by TripAdvisor travelers as the best hand sanitizer for the second consecutive year by U.S. and Canadian travelers, announced GoJo Industries.

"It is a great honor that TripAdvisor travelers selected Purell Advanced as their favorite hand sanitizer for the second consecutive year," stated Kathleen Leigh, marketing director, Purell Consumer. "We all have those everyday Purell moments, when soap and water are unavailable and we need to clean our hands, from the menu we touched, the subway railing or from our own coughs and sneezes."

Other OTC brands selected by TripAdvisor travelers included McNeil Consumer's Benadryl (allergy), Procter & Gamble's Nyquil (flu/cold medicine), Burt's Bees (lip balm) and Pfizer Consumer's Advil (pain reliever).
