Hi-Chew is delving into the better-for-you candy space with a brand-new option — reduced sugar.

Available in mango and strawberry flavors, the candy offers consumers 30% less sugar and is made with dietary fiber, or inulin, and other unique formulations to reduce the sugar content while also maintaining the same fruity taste and texture, the company said.

“We’re so thrilled to offer consumers this better-for-you candy choice in two of our most popular flavors,” said Teruhiro (Terry) Kawabe, president and CEO of Morinaga America. “While Hi-Chew reduced sugar has a lower sugar content than our original mango and strawberry chews, we’re confident that consumers will quickly learn that it has the same great flavor experience they’ve grown to love.”

Consumers can find Hi-Chew reduced sugar sweets in a 2-oz. bag that retails for $3.29 at select retailers nationwide.

Equilibria helps women manage through daily struggles, both physical and mental, by pairing its plant-based supplement routines with personalized support, the company said. Its offerings include CBD as well as other functional health categories and personalized education.

As part of its new plan, the brand also is offering free, pre-purchase one-on-one wellness consultations with wellness educators around the nation to anyone interested in learning more about plant-based wellness and where to start.

“The world of plant-based wellness can be really daunting,” Meyers said. “What ingredients are safe, at what levels, and how and why do they work in individual bodies to achieve specific health goals? At Equilibria, we take the time to hold space for each and every member of our community, through one-on-one telehealth sessions to help her answer these questions and empower her to find her daily routine.”
