Mark Cuban has made another investment in health care.
Cuban has invested in the online pharmacy Truepill, according to a report in Business Insider.
A Truepill spokesperson confirmed the report and told Drug Store News that there is no further comment at this time.
In January 2022, Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company officially launched its online pharmacy. The launch came just weeks after their pharmacy benefit manager operation was established, both critical efforts in the company's pursuit to help consumers get lower drug prices.
In December 2022, The Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company and EmsanaRx, a pharmacy benefit manager, joined forces to launch EmsanaRx Plus, which the company described as "a first-of-its-kind supplemental drug discount product designed specifically for employers as a standalone pipeline for lower-cost medicines that have been contracted directly with drug manufacturers by Cost Plus Drugs."
Formed in 2016, Truepill states on its website, "We have expanded our offering to include telehealth services and our own patient-facing brands. And we’ve grown to seven locations — including our first international office in the UK."
