Lay’s expands Flavor Swap lineup

Following up on the launch and success of its potato chips inspired by other fan-favorite Frito-Lay flavors, the brand is expanding on its Flavor Swap lineup with new additions.

This time, Doritos, Funyuns and Cheetos will be fused together, as well as the newly launched Lay’s Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese chips.

“What makes the Lay’s Flavor Swap lineup so much fun is the combination of flavors our fans know and love to create a new but familiar snacking experience,” said Stacy Taffet, senior vice president of brand marketing, Frito-Lay North America. “This year’s newest addition combines our Kettle Cooked variety and the popular Fritos Chili Cheese flavor to make a powerful addition to an already stacked lineup. We’re excited to re-release these iconic swaps after last year’s success and to continue delivering the flavor experience our fans are looking and asking for.”

The four Flavor Swap chips making their debut include:

• Lay’s Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese: A pairing of chili and cheese flavors that take on a crunchy Kettle Cooked style;
• Lay’s Cheetos Flavor: A combination of the cheesiness of classic Cheetos with the crispness of Lay’s chips;
• Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch Flavor: A Doritos Cool Ranch chip that takes on the form of a classic Lay’s potato chip; and
• Lay’s Wavy Funyuns Onion Flavor: The flavor of Funyun rings on a Lay’s Wavy potato chip.

The four Lay’s Flavor Swap mash-ups are now available at retailers nationwide for $4.59 and $2.29.
