Good Planet Foods unveils plant-based cheese wedges

Good Planet’s offerings of plant-based and allergen cheeses are expanding.

The Bellevue, Wash.-based company announced the launch of a new line of plant-based cheese wedges.

Created with real and allergen-free ingredients, each wedge is individually wrapped, and available in three varieties — original, pepper jack and smoked gouda.

“The plant-based cheese segment is growing extremely fast, but the potential is far greater than we are seeing,” Good Planet co-CEO, Bart Adlam said. “We are committed to growing the segment by making it easy for consumers to make a sustainable choice and choose plant-based. With this innovation, we are delivering an allergen-free, keto-certified, plant-based snackable cheese wedge that delivers all the creaminess, satisfaction, and taste of dairy cheese.”

In addition, each newly launched wedge also is vegan, and free of dairy, gluten, soy and lactose.

Certified non-GMO and keto-certified, the products come packaged in 4-oz. packs of six individually wrapped wedges.

Retailing for $4.99, Good Planet’s plant-based cheese wedges are available at such retailers as Hy-Vee and Wakefern.
