Giant opens new Virginia location

Giant's new location opens its doors to consumers.

Located at 6360 Seven Corners Center in Falls Church, Va., the newly opened store features expanded departments and such services as a full pharmacy, PNC Bank branch and Starbucks.

In addition, the location houses a fresh cut fruit station, an extensive ethnic food section, and full service floral area, as well as expanded cheese, deli, meat and seafood departments, the retailer said.

“We are looking forward to opening our newest format store in Fairfax County and allowing our customers to experience Giant's updated layout, décor and product offering,” Ira Kress, interim president of Giant, said. “Our newest store is designed to the make the shopping experience clear and simple, and our expanded product offering will make it easier than ever to enjoy great food. Not only have we expanded our amazing, high quality food selection across the aisles and throughout every department, we have done so with a focus on our environment with energy-saving equipment and lighting, demonstrating our commitment to be a leader in sustainability.”

Shoppers at the Fairfax County store also will be able to use Giant’s Pickup service, which has in-store associates hand select, pack and deliver online orders placed directly to consumers in their vehicles.

Designed to be energy efficient, the store uses LED lighting that has been equipped to preserve energy while also keeping food items fresh and cold, the company said.
