Giant Food to open Virginia location

Giant Food’s new store in Manassas, Va., will feature enhanced and expanded departments, as well as improved décor, the company said.

Giant Food is expanding its retail footprint.

The Landover, Md.-based retailer shared news of the opening of its newest store, located in Manassas, Va.

Officially opening its doors on Nov. 19, the store is located at 10864 Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas.

Customers who shop at this new location will be met with enhanced and expanded departments, as well as improved décor, a full wine and beer shop, a Starbucks, PNC Bank, larger fresh and organic produce sections, expanded gourmet cheese selections, freshly made sushi and other prepared foods.

“Giant has had a presence in Prince William County since 1961 and we are excited to bring local Manassas residents a brand-new location with the best offerings and amenities,” Ira Kress, president of Giant Food said. “Every department in this new store is designed to deliver the best variety and quality to our customers — from our expansive prepared foods offerings and fresh produce selection to our full-service departments staffed by dedicated Giant associates.”

In addition, this new location will also feature a full-service pharmacy offering vaccine administrations by Giant’s certified pharmacists and free consultations on recommendations and assistance on selecting appropriate over-the-counter and prescription products, the company said.

Lastly, shoppers at this new store are to have the option to place Giant Pickup or Giant Delivers orders online.
