With the theme “Corazon y Mente,” CVS Health is celebrating its Hispanic colleagues, partners, suppliers, patients and customers during Hispanic Heritage month.
“This month, and every month, CVS Health is proud to celebrate the rich diversity within Hispanic culture and are honored to work alongside and collaborate with so many members of this vibrant community,” the retailer said.
Noting that the Latino community comprises nearly 19% of the population with more than 62 million community members across the United States, CVS said that Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration and an important reminder of the many contributions Hispanic and Latinos people have made to our society.
“The community’s rich and extensive history is reflected in the diversity of its people-from Afro-Latino, Asian Latinos, Boricua, Indigenous, Chicano/a, Mexican American, Puerto Rican and Hispanic, to the inclusive nonbinary Latinx,” CVS said.
Pointing out that Latinos also are the fastest-growing segment of people in the nation, CVS Health said that it understands the importance of building trust by addressing the unique healthcare needs, lifestyle and cultural preferences of this community.
Noting that it is proud that 14% of its growing workforce and more than 8% of its leaders are Latino, CVS said that its nearly 1,000 CVS Pharmacy y más and Navarro locations provide a more inclusive environment where Latino customers can access the brands they know and love, with bilingual colleagues and signage to provide a warm and welcoming experience.
“At CVS Health, we honor the Hispanic community and the ways they strengthen our country and our company, through a mission and culture that aims to empower people through continued inclusive actions that reaffirm our commitment to every diverse community we serve,” the retailer said. “‘Corazon y Mente’ and our CVS Health Heart at Work Behaviors are the perfect examples of joining forces to bring our absolute best to the thousands of diverse communities we serve.”
