Tastykake’s Scoop Shop blends together ice cream, donuts
Fans of Tastykake have something new to reach for in the snack aisle.
The Philadelphia-based company announced that it will launch cookies and creme mini donuts, which are part of the Scoop Shop line.
Consisting of ice cream flavors in a sweet snack form, the collection will be launched in two phases — the first already on shelves and the second awaiting a late April debut.
“The Tastykake team cannot wait to share the Scoop Shop line with our sweet loving fans,” Tastykake’s brand manager Ashley Hornsby said. “For more than a year, our bakery team has dedicated themselves to developing this line to help ‘Make Happy Happen’ for our consumers, and we think we’ve found recipes that do just that. Consumer insights helped dictate what ice cream flavors and snack items to include in the Scoop Shop line, ensuring the most enjoyment for our fans.”
Cookies and creme mini donuts blend one of the brand’s top-selling products with a popular ice cream flavor. The second phase of the product will combine mint chocolate cream ice cream with a creme-filled cookie, creating the mint chocolate chip cookie sandwich, the company said.
Tastykake’s Scoop Shop cookies and creme mini donuts can be found wherever the brand’s products are currently sold, in a 9.5-oz. bag that retails for $2.99 and a six-count single-serve option for $1.79.
