Perky Jerky has added a new innovation to its line of products.

The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based company unveiled its new paleo friendly Wagyu beef jerky line, which is marinated with coconut amigos and sugars.

Available in three flavors — sea salt and pepper, truffle and thyme, and chimichurri — the line’s jerky is humanely raised and vegetarian-fed, and does not contain antibiotics or hormones, the company said.

"At Perky Jerky, we've always strived to make the Best Tasting Jerky on Earth. That's where we've set the bar," Brian Levin, CEO and "chairman of the herd" at Perky Jerky, said. "Our new line of Wagyu jerky has surpassed our expectations and then some. The incredible rich flavor and texture surprised even us, and we can't wait for our customers to try it."

In addition, each of the new flavors is soy-free and  gluten-free, and contains 2 g or less of sugar, 12 g of protein and 220 mg of sodium per serving, the company added.

"Using a new marinade blend comprised of coconut aminos and coconut sugar, our Wagyu line is paleo friendly, which is important to our customers," Levin said. "The flavors are phenomenal, even with the lower sugar and sodium profiles."

Perky Jerky’s Wagyu beef jerky line is available for purchase online and at Whole Foods Market.
