Mutti debuts Sauces for Pizza

BY DSN STAFF

Mutti is continuing to change the way consumers enjoy tomatoes.

The brand is introducing consumers to its new Sauces for Pizza line, which pay tribute to three Italian cities — Positano, Napoli and Parma.

Crafted in Italy using fresh ingredients, the sauces come in three varieties, including:

  • Positano, which has garlic and onion, and is inspired by the flavors of the Amalfi coast where sun-ripened tomatoes are blended with garlic and oregano;
  • Napoli, which has fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil, and is inspired by the Margherita pizza of Napoli. The sauce has simple ingredients that are blended with vine-ripened tomatoes and basil; and
  • Parma, which has Parmigiano Reggiano, and is inspired by Parma’s most celebrated foods that combines Mutti tomatoes with aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP cheese.

“At Mutti, we pride ourselves on our remarkably different and better tasting tomatoes. Our sauces start with our great fresh-tasting tomatoes and add a few simple, high quality ingredients,” Katia Facchetti, the president of Mutti USA saud “As Italy’s #1 tomato brand with over 120 years of tomato expertise, we feel that we are uniquely positioned to offer a line of regionally inspired, delicious, and unique Sauces for Pizza that enhance at-home pizza making. Consumers are making more pizza at home; from the flour to the cheese to the sauce they select, they care about the quality of all ingredients.”

In addition, Mutti Sauces for Pizza are made with 100% Italian, non-GMO tomatoes, and such high-quality ingredients as aromatic herbs and extra virgin olive oil. The sauces also do not contain added sugar, additives or preservatives, the company added.

Each sauce is sold in 14-oz. jars that can be found at Amazon and on-shelf in select supermarkets and specialty grocery stores across the country where they retail for $5.99 each.
