M&M’s caramel packs become a ticket to summer experiences

M&M’s is looking to ramp up the popularity of its caramel flavor by having its packaging serve as an all-access pass to exclusive summer events.

The Hackettstown, N.J.-based company announced that it would be kicking off a series of exclusive events with singer/songwriter Julia Michaels. The “Issues” songstress will perform an M&M’s Spotlight concert at the Southside Music Hall in Dallas on the 25th.

“Since the day M&M's Caramel hit shelves, we've experienced consistent consumer demand and ongoing enthusiasm for the iconic flavor paired with our beloved candy shell,” Allison Miazga-Bedrick, senior brand director of M&M's, said. “We are proud to have unlocked this unique taste experience, so it's only fitting we mark the one-year milestone by unlocking additional spontaneous fun for our fans through engaging entertainment events only M&M's can create. If you haven't tried M&M's Caramel yet, there's no better time!”

Other experiences hosted by the company will feature chances to interact one-on-one with MLB and NASCAR stars.

In addition to its list of summer events to spread the word about the caramel candy, the brand previously launched a humorous campaign that exposes consumer’s genuine love for the treats through quirky videos.

M&M’s Caramel chocolate candies contain a caramel center that is covered in the brand’s signature milk chocolate and coated in a candy shell. It’s currently available for purchase at retailers nationwide in a 2.83-oz. sharing size, 9.6-oz. stand up pouch and 1.41-oz. singles pack.
