Fever-Tree intros pink Aromatic Tonic

Fever-Tree, a brand best known for its tonics and mixers, has launched a new Aromatic Tonic.

Inspired by a recipe used by the British Royal Navy in the 19th century, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company is using angostura bark sourced from South America in its new pink tonic.

“We are unique in incorporating a rare ingredient, angostura bark, and matching it with other unusual aromatics that reflect our unwavering commitment to sourcing the highest quality ingredients. This approach enables a distinctive third flavor element to be effortlessly introduced into the service,” Charles Gibb, CEO of Fever-Tree North America, said. “The result is great tasting, easily prepared mixed drinks for aspiring home bartenders and sophisticated bartending pros who seek straightforward cocktails without compromising quality. Fever-Tree mixers are a testament to simplicity perfected.”

The beverage also contains such flavors as vanilla from Madagascar, pimento berry from Jamaica, ginger from Cochin and cardamom from Guatemala, the company said.

Fever-Tree’s Aromatic Tonic is available for purchase in select bars, restaurants, hotels and retail locations for the suggested retail price of $5.99 for 200 ml and $3.99 for 500 ml.

American Greetings’ Guitar Party cards amp up the fun

American Greetings wants to put a spin on the traditional birthday card, by introducing its new Guitar Party line.

To mark the 10th anniversary of its Pipeline of Innovation, the Cleveland-based company unveiled a line of guitar-shaped cards that are embellished with illustrative designs and have a button that can be pushed or guitar strings that also can be strummed, which reveal an entertaining song.

Featured designs in the collection include a pink leopard print, skull motif and fame-laden electric guitar. Also included is a red, white and blue design created for the “birthday Rockstar,” the company said.

“Everyone’s a star on their birthday, and Guitar Party cards send up a rousing rendition of how awesome the birthday boy or birthday girl is,” Carol Miller, vice president of corporate innovation at American Greetings, said. “These cards are a fun way to dial up the fanfare of a birthday greeting.”

American Greetings’ Guitar Party cards can be found at Carlton Cards retail stores, participating drug chains, grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide. The company also is asking consumers to share pictures, videos and messages on social media of their cards by using the #BestCardEever hashtag. Old Mother Hubbard intros grain-free dog treats

Old Mother Hubbard is looking to help pet owners change the way they treat their furry family members by introducing its first grain-free treats.

In addition to the three new formulas, the Tewksbury, Mass.-based company also unveiled its first fan-submitted flavor that will now become part of the brand’s lineup.

The grain-free options from the brand include:

  • All the fixins, which is turkey and sweet potato flavored;
  • Pick of the patch, which has pumpkin and carrot flavors; and
  • P-nuttier ‘n nanners, which is peanut butter and banana flavored.

The fan-submitted flavor, chosen from the brand’s 2017 Battle of the Biscuit contest, is the wheat-free chicken pot pie flavor.

“Snack time is one of the best parts of the day—for you and your dog—and while pet parents love our current flavors, we wanted to make sure dogs with grain sensitivities could also enjoy our delicious oven-baked dog biscuits,” Chris Hood, senior brand manager, said. “With each of our new unique flavor combinations, we’re giving pet parents more options to mix up snack time. So when they reach into the cupboard, they can treat their furry friends with an assortment of exciting flavors that they’ll love.”

Each of the new recipes is now available for purchase in mini bone-shaped biscuits. Retail locations can be found by checking out the store locator on the company’s website.
