Effen Vodka adds Rosé, Yuzu Citrus varieties

Those looking for a little something other than typical vodka have something new to try.

Effen Vodka announced that it would be expanding its portfolio with its new Rosé and Yuzu Citrus beverages.

"Everything about Effen Vodka is different, from its distillation and bottle design to its smooth, clean taste, and we're committed to providing unparalleled quality to our consumers," Clement Reid, marketing director at Beam Suntory, said. "Both Effen Rosé and Effen Yuzu Citrus will bring dynamic taste profiles into the vodka category, from Yuzu's Japanese-inspired roots to Rosé's innovative spin on traditional rosé wine. We're excited to bring these new offerings to vodka lovers everywhere."

Each of the new items is an extension of the Chicago-based brand’s “Different by Design” marketing campaign, which celebrates self-expression, welcomes creativity and inspires consumers to be unapologetically themselves, the company said.

The new Rosé option contains fruity, floral and honey notes; has hints of fruit with a touch of vanilla and honey in its taste; and can be served with soda or combined with sparkling wine.

Yuzu Citrus has a slightly sweet flavor with herbal and fruity notes to balance the grapefruit zest, in addition to bright citrus and floral black notes. The beverage was created to embody the Japanese yuzu fruit, which has been described to contain a flavor combination resembling lemon and grapefruit, the company said.

Both beverages are made with 100% premium wheat from Northern France, does not contain added sugars or artificial colors, and are filtered and distilled in Northern Holland.

Shoppers can find Rosé and Yuzu Citrus at locations nationwide, where they retail for $21.99 each.
