Gillette unveils Heated Razor

Gillette is once again changing the shaving game with its latest innovation.

The Boston-based brand, which is part of the Procter & Gamble portfolio, unveiled its new Heated Razor by GilletteLabs.

Users can get a warm shave due to the device’s sustained heating sensation via an innovative warming bar, the company said.

"By fusing beautiful form with reimagined function, the Heated Razor from GilletteLabs truly elevates the shaving experience," Gary Coombe, the chief executive officer of P&G Global Grooming, said. "We know men love the sensation of a hot towel shave and now they can enjoy that same luxurious experience every day in their bathroom."

In addition to providing a warm shave, the Heated Razor also distributes heat evenly, allows for adjustable temperature levels, has automatic overheat protection, contains Gillette’s thinnest and finest blades, has wireless magnetic charging and a lithium-ion battery that can last up to six shaves, the company said.

"We've been delighted with the reception from the tech and grooming community. We had incredible feedback from early adopters on Indiegogo and everyone who got to see the product in action at CES. That's why we're so excited to now make this breakthrough innovation available to all our consumers in the U.S." continued Coombe.

Gillette’s Heated Razor, which is also waterproof, can be ordered online and at The Art of Shaving stores for $200. Additional blades retail for $25 each, the company said.
