2017 Women’s Choice Award goes to eos
NEW YORK — The Women’s Choice Award on Tuesday honored eos with the 2017 Women’s Choice Award based on recommendations from its female customers in a customer satisfaction survey conducted by WomenCertified.
“The Women’s Choice Award’s mission is to simplify her life by recognizing brands tried, tested and highly recommended by women,” stated Delia Passi, CEO Women’s Choice Award. “By carrying the Women’s Choice Award seal, brands like eos signify their commitment to empower women to make smart buying choices.”
“We strive to make great products with women in mind every step of the way, with top quality ingredients and superior product performance,” commented Jonathan Teller, eos Products CEO. “We are thrilled to have so many satisfied eos lip balm consumers.”
Passi noted the Women’s Choice Award serves as a competitive differentiator in today’s cluttered marketplace. “When a woman is willing to recommend a brand or service to others, it means that business has earned her loyalty,” she said. “Those are the businesses we wish to recognize for meeting the needs and preferences of their discerning female customers.”
“We are pleased to salute eos for its focus on excellence, a commitment that is recognized by female consumers nationwide,” Passi added.
CVS Pharmacy opens first Colorado retail location
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Pharmacy has opened its first standalone store in the Centennial State. CVS Pharmacy executives celebrated the grand opening of the new store in Parker, Colo. — the first of three slated to open in the greater Denver market this year — with state Sen. Jim Smallwood and state Rep. Kim Ransom.
"CVS Pharmacy is proud to be a part of the Colorado community, offering convenient access to best-in-class pharmacy services and a shopping experience truly dedicated to helping people on the path to better health," CVS Pharmacy SVP field operations Hank Casillas said. "Because health services and pharmacy are at the heart of everything we do, we have created a shopping destination that offers the best assortment of health, beauty and wellness products and better-for-you snacks."
Though CVS Pharmacy saw the launch of 39 locations within Target stores in Colorado in 2016, the Parker location is the first retail location for the chain. The new store will feature a pharmacy, as well as various front-store features that CVS Pharmacy rolled out in April as part of its customer experience overhaul.
These features include better-for-you food offerings that include trend zones featuring foods that customers might expect to find at a specialty food store. It also includes elevated beauty offerings that include such store-brand product lines as CVS Health, Beauty 360, Essence of Beauty, Promise Organic and Blade — all of which are working to phase out parabens, phthalates and formaldehyde donors by the end of 2019.

The store also will feature a wide assortment of OTC items and vitamins and supplements, as well as customer-driven personalization. Customers with an ExtraCare card will have access to special offers and coupons, paperless receipts and the ability to opt-in to earn Beauty ExtraBucks rewards and Pharmacy & Health Rewards.
The next two Colorado locations are set to open this summer in Littleton and Denver.
Colgate intros Clean-In-Between toothpaste
NEW YORK — Colgate on Tuesday added a new product to its lineup with Colgate Total Clean-In-Between toothpaste. The product uses advanced micro-foaming to reach between teeth and reduce 83% more plaque germs than non-antibacterial fluoride toothpaste 12 hours after brushing, according to the company.
As part of the launch, Colgate is continuing its marketing efforts to reach Hispanic consumers with the continuation of its Simplemente Saludable program with TV host Karla Martinez, nutritionist Chef Lala and yoga instructor Yudy Arias, as well as dentist Karent Sierra. The campaign is aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle that incorporates proper oral health, Colgate said.
“Being healthy is part of my everyday to-do list, and what better way to start than with oral care which is the first thing you take care of in the morning and the last thing you do before going to sleep?” Martinez said. “I love Colgate Total because it provides multi-benefit solutions to protect and improve my mouth health.”
Colgate Total Clean-In-Between toothpaste is sold in 4- and 5.8-oz. tubes in mass, drug and grocery stores nationwide.
