Samuel Adams debuts Rebel IPA

BY Ryan Chavis

BOSTON — Samuel Adams announced that it’s ready to share Rebel IPA with drinkers across the nation. The IPA offers consumers citrus aromas along with piney, resinous notes that come from West Coast hops.

Rebel IPA was one of the first beers to be developed in the Samuel Adams nanobrewery, a small batch, 10-gallon brewery system that operates within the confines of the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery.

"We built the Samuel Adams nanobrewery to experiment with different brewing techniques and ingredients in small batches. The nano acts as a test kitchen within our Boston Brewery, and it was here that Rebel IPA was born," Seth Adams, brewer at the Samuel Adams nanobrewery, said. "The West Coast hops we use in this brew are some of my personal favorites, and I’m extremely proud to see this brew grow from these experimental roots to being available nationwide."

As of January, Samuel Adams Rebel IPA is available on draft nationwide. Beginning in February, the brew will be available in bottles, in a six-pack for a suggested retail price of $7.99 to $9.99, and in 12-packs for a SRP of $14.99 to $17.99.
