Murad launches new skin care line to seal pores, prevent blackheads

BY Antoinette Alexander

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Murad has announced the debut of Pore Reform, a skin care regimen that includes a Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo to unclog and seal pores, shielding the skin from blackhead-causing dirt and debris.

Featuring Oxidation Reversal Complex, proprietary technology that helps reverse and prevent sebum oxidation, Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo is clinically proven to reduce the formation of blackheads by an average of 58%, the company stated.

The Pore Reform line is made up of five pore-clearing and tightening products: Daily Cleansing Foam, a dual-action foaming cleanser that washes away dirt, oil and pore-clogging impurities; T-Zone Pore Refining Serum, a daily treatment that works to normalize oil production while lifting away dull, dry skin cells; Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo, a two step treatment that helps clear blackheads and seal pores with lasting protection against impurities and oxidation; and Balancing Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 | PA++, a lightweight daily moisturizer that helps control oil production while delivering antioxidant protection against skin damaging UVA/UVB rays.

“Pore size is determined by genes and, aside from very invasive treatments which do not always work, the actual size of a person’s pores cannot be changed. That said, we can minimize the appearance of pores with products that keep pores clean and healthy,” stated Howard Murad, founder of Murad. “The best way to reduce the appearance of pores is to use efficacious products that will clean and protect, which is what Pore Reform was created to do, and also to provide your skin with the nutrients and environment it needs to be healthy. This can be achieved by living an Inclusive Health lifestyle, which addresses topical, nutritional and emotional needs for optimal skin health. After all, healthy skin is a reflection of overall wellness.”

“The information gathered from a recent study we conducted showed that women aged 30-45 named pore size/clogged pores as one of their top three skin concerns,” added Jeff Murad, VP of new product development at Murad. “Understanding that there was a gap in the market, we wanted to find a solution to the fast-growing consumer concern associated with large pores and blackheads. After in-depth research and testing, we have created a product line that will give our customers the fast acting results they are looking for, without compromising skin health.”

New hair care line developed to nurture gray hair

BY Antoinette Alexander

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — GutZgray has developed a new line of hair products to care for gray hair or colored gray hair.

The manufacturer will be highlighting the new product at the Cosmoprof North America Conference in July in Las Vegas. Company representatives will be located in Booth D11042.

These gray hair products are designed specifically to nurture and invigorate gray hair, which tends to be coarser than hair that retains natural color.

The Gorgeous Gray shampoo is designed to revitalize the scalp with essential oils, extracts and vitamins. The Glamorous Gray Vitamin Hair Bath is designed to infuse vitamins and nutrients into hair follicles opened by the shampoo. For those who want to style gray hair, there is Gunky Gray Pomade.

GutZgray is a unisex gray hair product line that utilizes non-embryonic stem cell research to enhance the look and feel of gray hair. By reintroducing stem cells after the aging process has diminished them, hair growth is renewed at the follicle, resulting in shiny hair with a silky texture, the company stated.
