U.S. gymnasts picked as newest CoverGirls

HUNT VALLEY, Md. Gymnastic stars Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin and Alicia Sacramone have been selected by Procter & Gamble to be the newest CoverGirls—marking the first time that female athletes have been name as the face of the beauty brand.

The athletes, who are from the USA Gymnastics team, join a roster of famous spokesmodels such as Drew Barrymore, Rihanna and Queen Latifa.

In addition to their new roles, Molly Stern, CoverGirl’s celebrity makeup artist, created customized looks for Johnson, Liukin and Sacramone during the world’s premiere competitions.

“Shawn, Nastia and Alicia are wonderful additions to the CoverGirl family, representing CoverGirl ideals of both inner and outer beauty,” stated Esi Eggleston Bracey, vice president and general manager of CoverGirl Cosmetics in North America. “We want to honor their confidence and help them shine in the spotlight. We are thrilled they are lending their beautiful faces to CoverGirl.”

“Power’s Out” chosen for Revlon’s Jessica Alba campaign

TORONTO UOMO Media, a multi-channel entertainment and media company, has announced that the Tricky Stewart written and produced duet “Power’s Out,” featuring Nicole Scherzinger and Sting, was selected as the music for Revlon’s ad campaign featuring actress Jessica Alba.

The song, “Power’s Out,” is a track off Scherzinger’s debut solo album, “Her Name is Nicole.”

“Revlon’s selection of ‘Power’s Out’ compounds and demonstrates the fact that our media properties continue to be impactful, proving broad mass market appeal to both the consumer and business marketplace. Our roster of talent has powerful songs that marry well with equally iconic brands,” stated Camara Alford, chief executive officer and chairman of UOMO Media.

Stewart is a Grammy award-winning music producer and songwriter and has worked with such artists as Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey. Earlier this year, Stewart and Redzone Entertainment signed an exclusive international management deal with UOMO Media.

Almell introduces Poshe age-defying hand and nail creme

DALLAS Almell Products, the maker of Poshe nail and hand products, has announced the creation of Potion of Youth Age-Defying Hand and Nail Creme.

The Poshe Potion of Youth was created to repair deep skin damage such as age spots that can be the result of too much sun exposure. It is formulated with age-defying peptides that promise to enhance and strengthen cell adhesion and promote the rebuilding of new organized collagen fibers in UV-damaged skin.

The formula also includes anti-aging retinol and shea butter to keep hands soft while promoting nail growth.

The ingredients that round out the lotion are vitamin B to promote strong nails, pomegranate to exfoliate and soften cuticles and Soluble Xylan to stimulate keratin and improve collagen. Poshe’s nail care products are free of formaldehyde and toluene.
