Suave and Jenny McCarthy to send moms to Beverly Hills salon

CHICAGO Looking to help moms put beauty back on their to-do list now that the new school year has started, Suave has teamed up with celebrity mom Jenny McCarthy.

This fall, Suave and McCarthy will pamper moms at the Suave Back to Beauty Moms-Only Field Trip at the LuKaRo Salon in Beverly Hills. The day of beauty will include makeovers from celebrity hairstylist Luke O’Connor, as well as mom-only treats.

Moms who participate in the event will also have the chance to win a $20,000 grant for their school’s after-school program. The school with the most moms who attend the event will earn the prize.

Those moms who do not live near Beverly Hills can visit <a title="www.suave.com” href=”http://www.suave.com/” target=”_blank” />www.suave.com and enter for a chance to win one of five grand prize trips to Beverly Hills for a celebrity-mom styling at LuKaRo Salon, as well as daily beauty prizes. The sweepstakes runs through Oct. 15.

In addition, Suave has created exclusive beauty packs for PTA members. The packs include Suave products, Suave survey stats and tips, and product coupons.

Carolyn New York unveils Latin nail polish line

NEW YORK Carolyn New York, a nail polish and hand care company created by“manicurist to the stars” Carolyn Cianciotto, is launching in December aLatin Line Collection.

The collection includes shades Poppy Chulo, a raspberry frost; FattyChuletta, a raspberry brick frost; and Spanish Harlem, a bronze. Thepolishes retail for $7 each.

Cianciotto, a native New Yorker whose polishes are inspired by her life inNew York City, creates polishes that are free of DBP, a potentially harmfulchemical additive.

Each bottle of Carolyn New York has a story. Unilever announces Klauberg to head up global media

LONDON Unilever, whose brands include Axe and Dove, has appointed Laura Klauberg as vice president of global media.

Klauberg, who currently serves as vice president of media Americas, will assume her new role on Sept. 30. She will report to Simon Rothon, senior vice president of marketing services.

Klauberg’s career in brand marketing within the Chesebrough Ponds and Unilever organization spans the last 26 years. Before her appointment as vice president of media Americas two years ago, she had been senior vice president of marketing for Unilever’s prestige personal care business, including the Calvin Klein brand.
